Story is done. Submission has been sent. I’m not sure if they’re going to love the idea, but the writing is as tight as I can get it. I’m actually pretty happy with the result, and I think it can find a home somewhere even if not in this anthology.
And the wait begins…
Anyone else submit something to this one? Any responses back yet?

I submitted to them as well about a week ago.
No idea how long the responses are but I am waiting anxioulsy too.
Good luck!

Nicely done, Michael. I submitted a story earlier this week. Not sure if it’ll make the cut, but it’s still nice to have the opportunity to be in a book edited by Datlow and Mamatas.
My story is rather short, and although they didn’t post a word minimum in the guidelines, I’m concerned it might not be considered because of that. But at least I gave it a try.

Hey, Michael, that sounds great. Good luck with it! I sent something, as well, a couple weeks ago.

Thanks, Ian & Michael!
Mamatas mentioned receiving a LOT of subs about Japan-based stories. Mine was based in China, so I guess that means I’m in!

I thought Nick was going to start sending out form rejects after Worldcon. Anyone heard anything yet?

Nothing yet, but my mouse pointer is getting sick of hovering over the Refresh button on my email. I think he said they received around 200 subs, so I guess I can give them some leeway on getting through them all. But naturally we all want those responses NOW, NOW, NOW.
Refresh..
..nothing.

Ha! I’m doing the same thing on my end. At least you HAVE at least one pro fiction publication under your belt.
